My Recumbent Days

I rode this morning and didn't realize I would become the meal for a number of flying insects. I came home and I was bitten in a number of spots. Will apply Afterbite, I should buy stiock in the company.

This morning I awoke in a horrible mood, and had no desire to ride. When I get like this, there is only one remedy and that is to push forward. So I rode anyway and felt so much better.

I set out this morning for my usuall ride. The temperature was just perfect, the winds not so much. Neverless I rode my usuall course, but felt like I was pushing against a solid wall. I thought it was the wind, but I was very wrong. It turns out I didn't check my tire pressure for a number of days and the tires were very soft, hense the slow and hard ride. I will check pressure more often.

This mornings ride was hot to say the least. The sweat was rolling in to my eyes after the first few minutes. I rode my usuall route, and I felt great. I did have to contend with some deep pools of rain water as it poured all night.

I don't know why, but my brain said ride and my body said "Your Stupid". Well I rode through this blistering heat and managed to do my usuall ride. I am feeling it now, and I need time to relax.

This morning I awoke very tired as I didn't sleep well, but I was determined to ride anyway. I headed out and the more I rode the better I felt. I even decided to devert from my usual, route and take in some other local routes. I added a new housing complex and the short but beautiful Etra Lake bike path.

I just completed my usuall ride but the temperature was above 94 degrees. It was humid that I was soaked within minutes of starting my ride. But the ride always is good for my mental well being. There is just a great euphoric felling when I ride. The heat has been extremly high everywhere in the country, and I feel that we were lucky compared to the Pacific Northwest.
