Long time between rides!

W ell first it was the weather, then my beloved 5 year old cat got renal failure and I have no desire to ride.  I don't sleep at night, and all I do is worry about him.  I don't want him to suffer. He is eating well but is not urinating often, which leads to blood toxicity. The vet has told us that this is fatal and we should just try our best to make him happy and comfortable. He is very lethargic and playful as ever.  I think he knows, but he wants to be with us 24 hrs a day. Well lets get away from the sadness. I rode today my usual training route as I had to burn some calories as all I have been doing is eating out of frustration.  I am surprised I didn't gain as much weight as I thought I would.  The weather was a bit breezy, but fine riding, I do feel better. I raised my tire pressure to the max amount and my speed has increased. Below is my stats.

Nice ride on a calm day

L eft as usual expecting another windy day, but I was in for a surprise!  The wind was there, but calm for this area.  I rode my usual distance but had to avoid certain roads do to construction. My chain needs lube or an adjustment, but I think the adjustment. I will lube today and see if it helps.  My ride stats are below. I just wish I could understand the power readings stuff. I will have to do some research.

First ride of Spring

W ell today was my first spring ride and I fell great. I did a lot better than I thought I would do.  The new Ventisit seat pad and Volae Carbon seat fit just right. I have to lube the chain as I hear a little chain chatter. All will get done. My ride stats are below. I now am using a power meter so there is more info.

Hitch installed and rack setup on my new KIA Forte.

M y SUV was having major electrical and computer problems, so I fixed them and decided it was time to get a new car.  I priced many SUV's as I needed something large enough to handle the length of the trike.  Well everything I looked at was either to small or cost to much.  I decided to purchase a ECO Forte, install a hitch and a Hitch Rider rack.  I can't believe how far out this rack extends from the rear of the car. Any trike rack would do that other than a vertical mounted rack. Vertical mounting was out as I can't lift the trike onto the rack.  Now I ordered a backup camera system so I can get a partial view of the back of the car to avoid accidents parking or backing up.  The system will be here Wednesday.  I have already installed the wires from the reverse lights and ran a drag for the RCA cable from the trunk to the dash. So I am ready to install when it gets here.
